Founder's Fit Notes

One of the reasons I chose this style was its beautiful combination of softly wrinkled navy patent and luminous metallic leather. The metallic isn't just one colour. As it catches the light, it subtly shifts between pewter and warm bronze, giving the shoe a different character from every angle.

On the foot, it feels beautifully balanced. The soft patent leather is comfortable from the very first wear, while the ankle strap provides a secure fit. I also found the block heel easy to wear, making this a style that's just as comfortable for a long lunch as it is for an evening out. I found this style fits true to size, and the contemporary square toe offers a little more room than a pointed style while still maintaining an elegant silhouette.

How to Measure

  1. Stand with your heel flat against a wall, on a flat surface. 
  2. Mark the floor at the tip of your longest toe (this isn't always the big toe).
  3. Measure from the wall to the mark, in centimeters.
  4. Measure both feet and use the larger measurement.
  5. Measure at the end of the day, when your feet are at their widest.
